Statutory Consents - Planning/Building Warrants
Elliott Architecture & Design offers a ‘Statutory Consents’ design service. Consents are issued by the Local Authority in which your project is located. They are often required for building projects and should be in place prior to the commencement of building work. The type of consent you require will depend on the nature of your project and may include planning permission and/or building warrant approval. Sometimes other consents such as listed building/conservation area consent can be required if you propose alterations to a listed building or a building within a conservation area. Whatever your needs, we can advise you on which consents you will need to undertake your project.
3D Modelling
Some of our clients like to see a digital three dimensional model of their proposals. This can be an invaluable visualisation tool! As well as aiding the design process, this can help provide a clear understanding of proposals and the spaces that will be created once your project has been constructed.
Construction Detailing
We can offer a construction detailing service to provide your builder with construction drawings in addition to any statutory consents required. This service would usually be required for more complex projects, for example projects using non-standard detailing, perhaps in order to achieve a particular aesthetic. A bespoke detailing service may be required for relatively few aspects of a design or its need may be extensive depending on your design aspirations. This service can make all the difference if attention to detail is the key to your project.
Post Statutory consents architectural service
Some projects may require an architectural service following planning and building warrant approval. This can be appropriate for larger projects or when your project is of such a nature that it requires a more rigorous and structured approach to building procurement. Depending on the nature of your project and your aspirations as a client, Elliott Architecture & Design can advise on alternative procurement routes and provide construction phase project management to ensure that the construction phase of your project runs as smoothly as possible.
